Tim went golfing this morning and Abi and I spent the morning at the pool. In the afternoon we took the shuttle bus into the city of Kota Kinabalu.....
Waiting for the bus....
We are easily entertained!!! Just give us a camera....
Everybody gets a chance to take some pictures while we wait....
Still waiting......still snapping pictures....
It took about 45 minutes to drive into the city from our hotel. We walked along the streets.....our goal was "adventure"!!! And..... to find the handicraft market and a restaurant for dinner.....
First we found the dried fish market...
Outdoor markets...
Bananas for sale
Vegetables, fruits, and spices for sale....
And then.....the fresh fish market...and...I mean fresh!!! The fishing boats came in and unloaded. The vendors were very busy and had lots of different "seafood" for sale.

and shrimp...
and... of course... these fish....
and more fish...
And chicken!!! I am pretty sure these did not come off the fishing boats.
More interesting food...
And if you wanted your fish cooked....that was also possible...there was a very large BBQ section of the market.
BBQ seafood....
Look at the size of these prawns!!!
And green beans...
Tim buying bananas...
And then the sun set.....it was beautiful....
We found a place for dinner...
and continued to enjoy the waterfront and sunset...
fishing boat
One can never have too much of this!!!!!!!!!!
We did some more exploring after dinner and got back to our hotel around 10:00pm.
We were very tired but I managed to play with my new fabrics for a few minutes before bed...
Batiks
Thai silk....FYI...this was between $3 and $5 US dollars per meter
More batiks... And more batiks.....
