Hong Kong or Bust!
Abi had a long weekend and the guys had to work so we decided to fly south for a little shopping and R&R.
Here we are on the mag lev traveling 430km to the Shanghai airport.
About 4 hours later we arrived in Hong Kong and took the train into the city.
Then....a short taxi ride and we were at our hotel.... 
We explored our hotel area and walked on the bay front....

Dinner at........The Hard Rock Cafe.....truly an American dining experience...We ate BBQ ribs!!Thought it was funny that we were seated under the Abbey Road sign....

Friday morning we were up and ready for shopping!! We took the ferry to Hong Kong Island and spent the entire day power shopping.

At last...we arrive in Hong Kong...
Elevated walk ways make it easy to move around the city.
Ohhhhh....green space!!
We love Hong Kong taxis.....we call them Harry Potter taxis because they are so cute! AND they are clean and have seat belts....what a concept!!!
Shopping bounty!!!
Not many people take pictures of bathrooms.....but....I have come to appreciate a good clean bathroom.....a difficult find in Shanghai... I had to capture this on on film. It is located at the Mall....in the movie theater....each stall has it's own sink...they look like larger versions of airplane restrooms. We watch a movie....a thrill for us because they had lots of choices.....all in English!!! We saw Casandra's Dream. Did not like the ending but it was great to be in a theater!
This is "underwear man".....he is the size of a skyscraper building...Wow!

We finally found our "rice place"....we had this dish when we were in Hong Kong last summer and we searched everywhere to find it again....it was in the last mall we visited..
Back to Shanghai.....our gate was in the new terminal....just opened a few weeks ago....it was a little creepy because we were the only ones in the entire building.....
