Some highlights of our past few weeks.....
Abi got her drivers licence while we were in Washington.......We moved one week before she turned 16 so she had to wait until now to get her official licence. She enjoyed her Independence and the "open road " while we were home.
Tucker has been offered an internship with a toy manufacturer. The company is hiring nine industrial design students from all over the world to work for their company in.........guess where.....Shanghai, China!!! Tucker is one of two students from the US that will be coming to Shanghai to work. He will be arriving on January 14th (next week!) and will start work on the 15th. He will work for 2.5 months then return to school for Spring term.....then come back to China for the summer to complete the internship. Wow!!! Who would have guessed....Shanghai, China. He will be living with us and commuting by subway about one hour to his office. Last night Abi said that she will keep the "top dog" status and Tucker will drop to the bottom of the food chain as a "move back home" sibling.
I am going to Japan for the International Quilt festival on January 20th. There are about 8 quilters from our Shanghai group going together. We will attend the show, take a quilting workshop, and tour a fabric market!!!! Yippee!!!
