Catch up from last week
Abi did not have school on Friday so we slept in a little and then took Grandma and Grandpa to Abi's favorite Japanese Restaurant for lunch. Abi introduced them to beef udon (noodles). The noodles are very long and hot so you have to use a large wooden spoon to hold the noodle while you "slurp" it in to your mouth.

Enjoying "slurping" noodles

The "noodle place" is right across the street from the Jinmao so we took a tour of the amazing atrium that starts on the 56th floor rises 34 floors.

These guys were hanging on the side of the building when we came out.....

More fun architecture - the Oriental Pearl

After the tour of the Jinmao we went to the fabric market to pick up our clothing purchases. Dad's suit fit wonderfully as did one of Mom's jackets.....the rest of the things needed some small adjustments so we will pick them up on Thursday.

Mom and Dad practicing their chopstick skills before the trip to Beijing... they are moving peanuts from one bowl to another.....

Saturday was a full day of Volleyball....Abi had three games at the Shanghai American School in Puxi. Highlights from the games.....they won all three games...Yippee!!!

Sunday evening we taxied to the train station. We stood in line for a while at our traint car only to find out that we were trying to get on the train to Kowloon...oops!!! Good thing they look at the tickets carefully.
