The weather in Shanghai has been really really ugly this week. The air is cooler (which is nice) and very very smoggy (which is gross!). It was raining today on my way home from quilting and the sky was actually green. No kidding!!! It almost looked like it was "glowing" green. I can only imagine what is falling in that rain. Can we say "acid rain x 1000"?

Abi and I are "home alone" this week as Tim is in Houston. His flight from Chicago to Houston was cancelled so he had a long lay-over in the windy city. Which makes that trip more than 24 hours door to door......Yuk! The airline called our house at 3:00am to inform Tim that his flight was cancelled....I am not sure how they thought this information could be relayed to him because he was already somewhere over Siberia by then.

Abi is working on college applications...two down....three to go!

I am leaving tomorrow morning for a "girls" trip. Seven of us are flying to ZingdeZhen. This is a Chinese village that is famous for porcelain. We rented a 10/12 passenger van to take us around the town on Friday afternoon and Saturday. Then....we are planning to have a shipping company transport all our "goods" back to Shanghai. Yes...this is another "research/cultural" adventure that involves supporting the local economy while learning about procurement, transportation, and exporting goods. AKA.....Hunting and gathering treasures. Stay tuned for photos!
